apple juice tart                                                                          


for pastry:

1/2 cup vegetable shortening

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup cold water

for garnish:
3 eggs

100 g sugar
3 apples
60 g melted  butter
30g cornflour
25 cl of ALRAI apple juice


Mix shortening, flour, and salt together with a fork or a pastry blender until very crumbly. Add as much water as needed to hold together, and mix lightly with a fork.

Roll gently on a floured pastry cloth to about an inch larger than pie plate. Fold carefully in half, lift to pie plate, and unfold. Press into pan.

Let cook for 15 minutes.

Mix the cornstarch in a little apple juice “ ALRai apple juice”.

Mix eggs with sugar and 2 apples peeled and diced. Add the melted butter, cornstarch and remaining apple juice. Put this mixture in the pre-baked pie.

Cut the remaining apple into small cubes.

Add the apple cubes in the pre-bakes pie.

Bake for 30 minutes.
